Manfred Curbach
Manfred Curbach studied Civil Engineering from 1977 to 1982 at the University of Dortmund. He received his doctorate in 1987 at the University of Karlsruhe.
Since August 1994 Manfred Curbach holds the professorship for concrete structures at the TU Dresden.
For more than 30 years, Manfred Curbach has been working on ecologically significantly improved alternatives to reinforced concrete. He was spokesperson of the SFB 528 for 12 years, spokesperson of the DFG-Priority Program “Lightweight Construction with Concrete” for more than 6 years, has been spokesperson of the BMBF Twenty20 consortium “C3 – Carbon Concrete Composite” for 8 years and spokesperson of the SFB/TRR 280 since 2020.
